In
February 1998, Hugo Murillo graduated from PC AGE(Fairfield Campus) with a
Diploma
in Internetwork Engineering (A+ and MCSE Windows
NT 4.0). It took him only five months to complete the program
as a full time student. He is currently a Network Administrator
with Essex Technology Group (IBM Service Provider).
When
Hugo came to PC AGE, he was out of the military and collecting
unemployment. He found PC AGE through the unemployment office
that paid him $4000 towards his training.
"I
checked different schools but PC AGE offered me the most up
to date training, especially when some larger and well known
schools had very out dated programs to offer. Certification
by Microsoft attracted me the most.
I
found my first job within a few weeks after my graduation
in a help desk position. Within a month I was promoted to
the IT department because of my confidence and knowledge as
a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. I worked there for
about one and a half years until I got a phone call from one
of my PC AGE classmates. He was promoted to a Network Administrator
and was looking for an assistant. I worked with him as an
assistant Network Administrator for a year and then found
a position as a Network Administrator".
Hugo's
current job responsibilities include administration of Lotus
Notes and AS 400, providing technical support for computer
applications, network administration, maintenance of intranet
and internet, and purchasing of computer equipment.
"IT
[training] worked out great for all of us. I know my other
classmates also found jobs very quickly."
