Chris Wady, 31, graduated from PC AGE in April 2001 with a
Diploma in Internetwork Engineering. He enrolled for
evening classes in February 2000 while working full time as
a Warehouse Manager for aircraft parts. Currently he is
working at Hauschman Industries as Computer Systems
Administrator.
“More
money was definitely the main reason to get IT training. You
can work anywhere in the USA in the computer field and you
have more job security and more options to grow. It was also
a better option than going to a 4-year college. You don't
want to go to a college when you're 30 years old,” says
Chris.
A friend
of Chris, who started IT training at PC AGE recommended PC
AGE to Chris. Chris started IT training 2 months later.
“Microsoft certification in addition to a PC AGE diploma was
important to me.”
Chris
said that he used to study all weekend. “It was tough with a
child and family but it was not as bad as I originally
thought. You can definitely do it if you are willing to
sacrifice a little bit.”
Chris is
responsible for email servers, file and print servers,
backup servers, and providing technical support to users.
“My [old]
job became very boring after working there for ten years. It
was time to change. There is always something new in the
computer field. I'm very happy. I'm learning new things and
have time to read and do research about computer
technologies.”
